What a sweet adventure joining Kathryn and Dan for a nostalgic walk through Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham. You would never know that these two have actually been together for years because they delight in each other as if they’ve just met. It was here at Camp Cedar Hill where they first met; while both were employees of the camp. Outside the camp tents was the spot where they had their first all night conversation. Kathryn and Dan are so natural and joyous together and it was great to photograph them in their element. I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding at the Lyman Estate next year. Enjoy the photos!
I was so happy to have the opportunity to get to know, and photograph, this most adorable couple, Marjorie and David!! Their deeply felt ceremony was held at Temple Emanuel in Newton. They joined their guests in celebration at the elegant Dane Estate at Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill. Thanks to Paula Marrero, of Marrero Events, who did an amazing job of coordinating all the details. Additional thanks to Poppy floral for their creative floral designs and Catering by Andrew‘s beautiful and delicious Kosher offerings. Beantown band fired up the house; inspiring lot of joyous dancing!
Musicians, Mattie & Aaron, made their debut as a married couple vis a vis a “wedding tour”. Rather than a traditional wedding where friends come to you, they decided to travel to multiple locations and perform for family and friends in honor of their love and marriage. The tour began in New York City’s Steinway Hall and ended at The Old Church in Portland, Oregon. I enjoyed photographing their unique and charming wedding celebration at Adelynrood; a retreat center near and dear to Aaron’s family’s hearts in Byfield, MA. Their performance included works by Schubert and Handel, as well as Aaron’s father, Jim, and four contemporary composers who were each commissioned to write a movement for Mattie & Aaron’s “Wedding Suite”. The four movements were titled as follows:
tell it like a secret (Something Old) – Scott Ordway
Something New – Christian De Gré
Vor Eternity (Something Borrowed) – Jessica Meyer
Tango (Something Blue) – Anne Farber (arr. Butler/Kaiser)

Chinese lanterns coupled with New England charm combined to create a beautiful and romantic outdoor wedding and reception at the Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson, Connecticut. Susan and Jonathan lovingly welcomed family and friends from the US and China. Guests celebrated in the elegant and intimate rooms of the manor, as well as several inviting outdoor locations adorned with garden sculptures, a unique gazebo, contemporary pillows, lighted umbrellas, and a cozy fireplace. Every detail of this inspired event was planned with love and care. It was a joy to photograph for this wonderful couple. Please enjoy the highlights and join me in congratulating Susan and Jonathan!
