This particular Bat Mitzvah is especially dear to our hearts. Dessie is the daughter of very close friends of ours. We have watched her grow from an infant to a talented and poised young woman. Temple Sinai in Brookline was a welcoming place to worship and witness Dessie leading the Torah service through her sweet singing and shining personality. The historic and beautiful, Gore Place, in Waltham, MA, was the perfect setting for her joyful and heartfelt celebration. Friends and family, who traveled as far as Israel and Europe, joined in the magic of the moment. Dessie designed her elegant Bat Mitzvah dress, which her mother made by hand. Her amazingly delicious and gourmet cake was also made by her loving mother. Her father’s artistry and eloquence was evident at the temple when he shared his reflections on Dessie’s life and on this momentous day. Many thanks to Marjorie Scarff and her team at Gore Place for her graciousness and excellent work in coordinating the day. Mazel Tov to Dessie and her entire family! Enjoy highlights from a unique and glorious day!
