David Tucker Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to the Blog!

Tucker Photography offers exquisite artistry, the highest level of professionalism, all with an irresistibly friendly demeanor. Recommended by the top planners and wedding venues in Boston and beyond. In business for 15 years.

I've had the privilege of witnessing some of the most special moments in people's lives, and a great coming together of extraordinary creativity and talent. I'm so happy to have the opportunity to share my creative response to these inspiring moments with you.

The other day the oldest living person in America was being interviewed on the TV. Although I was only able to catch the tail end of the interview, what this lucid gentleman said resonated very deeply with me, and that was that life was about helping others. I truly believe this is the secret to a rich and fulfilling life. We should all be so lucky to have 112 years of making others happy!!

Michele Mottola at Special Events Consulting says:

“It is obvious that David Tucker loves what he does as his pictures always represent the essence of the person who is on the other end of the camera. He is warm, compassionate and so unbelievably talented.   David always scouts out his locations prior and makes many considerations that include LIGHTING,  background, accessibility, timing and ease for guests being photographed all before the event is in full swing. This pro activeness absolutely contributes to the success of any event.  I know my clients are in great hands when they select David Tucker, it is off my list of things to worry about.”

Anastacia and Peter engagement session at Old North Bridge in Concord.

We had a truly magical day at the Minute Man National Park in Concord for Anastacia and Peter’s pre – wedding photos. They were hoping that we’d get a nice cover of snow for the engagement photography shoot, and miraculously it snowed just two days before. Walking in this historic park under the soft winter light was absolutely delightful. Peter and Anastacia were such fun to be with, their love and joyful spirit were inspiring! Enjoy the photos and please leave your best wishes for Anastacia and Peter.

January 25, 2012 - 6:14 pm Robin Bixby - These are really terrific! I love the black & white. Nice to see a natural setting, rather than studio shots. Everyone is awesome.

Izzy’s Bat Mitzvah.

I was so pleased to be invited to be Izzy’s photographer for her big day. Izzy’s generous and altruistic spirit was an inspiration, as she pledged to donate many of her dresses and accessories to the Fairy Godmother project. These dresses and accessories will be given to financially disadvantaged students in Massachusetts so they can attend their school formal occasions in style. Thank you for inspiring us Izzy! The set up was built around the theme of high fashion with a real runway as the dance floor. This was one of the coolest parties, and everyone had a blast! I wish you and your family hearty blessings, and much happiness. Please enjoy the photos and write your comments and best wishes below.

Jennifer and Nick’s Wedding at the Ritz Carlton, Boston.

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Jennifer and Nick, and have developed a great fondness for their family. Larry and Lori hosted a spectacular day; a gift to their daughter and son in-law that will last a lifetime.

These guys are just bursting with energy! It was a most romantic first meeting when Nick caught the first glimpse of his bride on the staircase of Boston’s Ritz Carlton. Then they strolled over to a cute little coffee and pastry shop nearby. Jen loves her coffee! They stopped traffic on their way to the Boston Common, where Nick just had to have a hot dog!

A touch of fall colors, and the late afternoon light, honored Nick and Jen’s celebration. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house during their ceremony, and the reception was truly amazing. Please enjoy the photos and leave your best wishes below.

Lynette and Joe’s wedding

Lynette and Joe are a super lovely couple, with two beautiful daughters. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know them while we spent time before the wedding envisioning a fun approach to the photography on their special day. They had a small and intimate gathering of friends and family at Congregation Shirat Hayam in Swampscott Ma. where everyone joined together to celebrate their wedding in a joyous, spirited and heartfelt ceremony. Thanks Rabbi B!

Their wedding luncheon hosted panoramic views overlooking the Atlantic ocean at Anthony’s Pier One Restaurant. Toward sunset we took a stroll for some creative wedding photography on Marblehead Neck and along the shoreline of Swampscott. I was so happy to be their artistic witness and wedding photographer for their special day. They have plans to have a larger wedding in NY, at an additional date in the future. I wish them a hearty Mazal Tov! Please enjoy the photos, and leave your messages and best wishes for Lynnette and Joe.
